MensTrust is a non-profit organisation that creates and promotes regular quality personal development workshops for men and boys.
MensTrust supports and promotes men's support groups and organisations involved in men's-work by providing a network to communicate and explore the needs of men in our community.
MensTrust Southern Africa was established in South Africa in 2001. We have established a Trust to provide education, training, mentorship and support to boys and men, with the purpose of creating a culture in South Africa where men are accepted, supported, and are encouraged to enter into healthy relationships with themselves, other men, women, family and the community. We are a registered non-profit organisation, number IT419/2004.
MensTrust is currently designing and implementing a Youth Development Programme to be to mentor boys in schools.
The courses aims to provide youth with decision-making skills, interpersonal competence, cultural awareness, self-esteem and drug and alcohol prevention that will create and provide better family bonding, more pro-social behaviour, self-control and emotional awareness, assertiveness, co-operation and confidence in the young participants.
Provide peer support groups that will provide a safe space for boys to express themselves.
Encourage boys to become actively involved in ending gender based violence and the abuse of women and children.
